Welcome to Rock Island Community Church
Our Beliefs
Our theology is consistent with traditional evangelical orthodoxy, and is in general alignment with the Second London Confession of 1689. We acknowledge differences of opinion within our congregation regarding the host of personal hermeneutical conclusions represented within modern Christianity. God’s revelation, both general (creation) or special (His Word) alone informs our faith.
Our Goals & Vision
It is our firm belief that Christ intended the great commission to be carried on by the church after the era of the apostles was concluded.
Therefore, we desire to make disciples of all people by evangelizing the unsaved
through sharing the gospel, seeing them baptized as a public profession of their
faith, and teaching them the Word of God so that they come to maturity in
their relationship to Christ.
As we do this, we expect to see the community of Rock Island become deeply Christian.
Our Leadership
Adam Harris is serving as our interim pastor and has served other churches in that office since 2002. He has preached thousands of sermons in many different venues, taught thousands of classes on Bible and theology in multiple countries around the world, and is currently pastoring a sister church in East Wenatchee.
